Let your Chinchillas for sale get use to their new home,  Let them be for the first 3 to 4  days. You can go up to Chinchillas for sale in the cage, and talk to them.  But don’t try to take them out. let run. They really need to get use to their new cage, and your home, nosies, and so on. After the 4 days you can start putting in your hand so chinchillas for sale can come up to you and smell you and learn to trust you.

* Morning Feeding -  1/8 cup feed, handful of Fresh hay, fresh clean water. (Clean up hay from the night before)

Clean feeding dish chinchillas for sale and give fresh water every day or every other, Always throw a way uneaten food, do not reuse feed that is left from the night before. Chins like to sit in their food dishes, and could go to the bathroom in it. If you noticed that there is a lot of feed left the next morning, then reduce feed, and if there is nothing left, increase feed. Use only good quality feed chinchillas for sale, like  Pen Pal, Hubbard Traditions,  Mazuri, Oxbow, or Purina Advanced Rabbit feed.

I sell and use Pen Pal, This is used by a lot of pet people and breeders chinchillas for sale through out the US. The other feeds  that you can get from the pet stores, with nuts, seed or colored pieces, is not health for you chin, they will not  get all the nutrients that they need. With in a 6 to a year your chinchillas for sale Health will be very poor and he or she may start to get sick a lot, be under weight. Teeth health will be low, and may start to see teeth issue’s. So it’s better to stay with what the breeder uses, plus the cost is less if you buy chinchillas for sale from a breeder than a pet store, or find a breeder in your area that you can buy feed and supplies from, or order online, or use Mazuri that you can find at a pet store. A Vet will cost you more in the long run than buying good quality feed and supplies.

Use all purified water, or bottled. Water from the tap or well water can have some things in it that can cause digestive problems chinchillas for sale. Plus if your chin doesn’t like the taste they wont drink like the should. You can wash the water bottle in a dishwasher or wash by hand. You need to wash the bottles as least  2 to 3 times a week, you don’t want the water to get stagnate, or start to grow mold, this can make your chinchillas for sale very sick or death.

Treats chinchillas for sale – I suggest only giving dried Cranberries, dried Cherries, Dried Blueberries, and dried Rosehips.  No sugar with these.  Horse cookies are fine to, get ones with the least amount of ingredients in it.  Wait until your chin is at least 6 months old before giving treats.  Give treats only about 2 to 3 times a week and for horse treats about every 2 weeks. I give my chinnies, dried, cranberry’s, blueberries, and Cherry’s, plus some herbs and my Grain Herb Cookies.

If you see your chinchillas for sale getting wet poops or ones that are smashed or diarrhea, stop all treats and feed, give shredded wheat, or very burnt toast, with Acidophilus, give 3 times a day, for a couple days, or until clears up,  and give Kao-pectin 2cc or mls, 3 times a day for 2 days, if it doesn’t clear up with 3 days take your chin to the Vet. Have them do a poop test. Keep fresh clean hay in their cage with them and fresh clean water. Some chinchillas for sale will get this the first week in their new home.

If  you see a runny nose, eyes, heavy breathing, take your chin to the vet, they may have some respiratory illness going on. Do Not wait tell the next day, chinchillas for sale hide there illness very will and sad to say your chin could die the next day.

I always recommend that you watch your chin keep a diary on them, see how they act, so when something is out of place for them you will catch it fast. Chinchillas for sale hide illness very well.

Chewing – Chinchillas for sale always need to chew, give them wood or toys to chew on. their teeth are always growing, so they need to Chew. No plastic or cotton ropes. Their Teeth can grow about 1″ a month.

Baths, if you live in area where it is more Humidity you will need to increase the baths, dry areas 2 to 3 times a week, Humid area’s 3 to 5 times a week. You strain out the poops with a fine strainer and replace dust every 5 to 6 weeks, if your chin pees in it you need to throw it out. A tip, let your chin take their bath in the shower stall, this will keep the dust contained, then just rinse down the walls with the shower.

No Fabric, Except Fleece.

Your chinchillas for sale need fresh air, not a fan or window blowing directly on them. No direct Sun Light, chins can over heat very fast and die from heat stroke.

Chinchillas for sale are loving caring animals, and are very curious. don’t try to make your chin do things that they are not ready for, this will stress them out, and make them more timid, and will take longer for them to trust you.

When you first bring your chinchillas for sale home, put your hand in the cage and let them come to you and smell your hand they may nibble at it, let them do this a few times, then try to rub their chin or ears, if they back off, then just let them smell your hands and arms, they will learn to trust you and know that you are not out to harm them.  A little time goes a long way. Remember chinchillas for sale are not much on being held and cuddled like dogs and cats.
