To dry woods, Boil them, to get all the bugs and any thing else that my be on the wood. Dry them off, the bake them, at 300 for a hour or until hard and dry. Let cool off in oven. Some woods chinchilla rescue may take longer and depending on the size of the wood pieces to bake.

You can dye and flavor you own wood, by mixing  1 qt. water to 1 package of kool-aid, No sugar. Put in jars, with lids, I have found this work the best for kool-aiding wood or with any other liquid.  Let set for at least 25 hours. Pour off all the liquid, and let air dry, or put in oven at 150 to 200 for a hour or so until dry.
